“The two Canadian journalists who were detained in Turkey earlier today have been released. The Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Canada was in close contact with both the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and the CBC throughout the day. We have been keeping all parties updated on the situation involving the journalists. We have also been in contact with Turkish Foreign Ministry officials and the Turkish police.”

«Les deux journalistes détenues à Istanbul viennent tout juste d’être relâchés. L’Ambassade de la République de Turquie au Canada a été en contact étroit avec le ministère des Affaires étrangères et du Commerce international et la CBC tout au long de la journée. Nous avons tenu toutes les parties informées de la situation touchant les deux journalistes canadiens à Istanbul. Nous avons également été en contact avec les représentants du ministère des Affaires étrangères de la Turquie et la police turque.»
