Contrary to the statement issued by the Office of the French President regarding his telephone conversation with our President yesterday, President Macron did not refer to Afrin in the said conversation when he talked about the UN Security Council Resolution 2401 on the humanitarian situation in Syria.

Our reaction to the difference between the content of the telephone conversation and the statement issued by the Office of the French President, which shows lack of candor, and the impropriety of misinforming public opinion despite the fact that the conversation was recorded, has been communicated to the French authorities.
