We welcome the formation of the new Lebanese government as a result of the consultations conducted by Prime Minister Saad Hariri with all political parties in Lebanon following the elections on 6 May 2018.

We wish all the best to the friendly and brotherly people of Lebanon regarding the new government.

This development will undoubtedly contribute to the peace, calm and stability of Lebanon.

It is our sincere wish that the tradition of reconciliation and inclusiveness in Lebanese politics prevails during the new government’s term of office.

Turkey, which has so far attached great importance to the sovereignty and independence as well as security and stability of Lebanon, will continue to support the friendly and brotherly Lebanese people and their Government.
